The Centre for Youth Ministry provides an Honours Degree in Youth and Community Work and Applied Theology. This exiting and groundbreaking course gives the chance to study for a degree and achieve the JNC professional qualification, both rooted within a Christian perspective. Are you?...

  • the youth worker for a church;
  • a helper with the youth work;
  • involved with a group of churches and a project with young people;
  • serving in a local authority youth centre;
  • involved in camps or holiday projects;
  • engaged in detached youth work in an area;
  • employed as a part-time youth worker;
  • involved in schools work - e.g. assemblies, lessons and lunch-time clubs;
  • on a 'gap-year' which involves youth work or
  • a full-time youth worker.

Engage! is designed to provide opportunities in learning for anyone and everyone who is interested in working with young people from a Christian value base.

The course lasts for two years and combines study with your ongoing work with young people. There are four study days per year which take place at the Oxford Youth Works Centre. Download a Flyer here
